In order to further strengthen the education of students' love for the school and honor the school, and guide them to deeply cherish the aspiration of "industry serving the country", on the morning of October 19th, the School of Materials Science and Engineering organized a themed education activity titled "Passing on the Spirit of the University of Technology, Consolidating 'New' Cohesion, Building Dreams and Growth". More than 120 senior student party members, grade counselors, and all 2023 freshmen majoring in metal material engineering participated in this event.

Under the leadership of senior students and senior sisters, all students visited the Bishop School Building, Materials Building Laboratory, Hubing Pond Site, and New School History Museum in turn on Tunxi Road campus. During the visit, the students learned about the bishop's construction process, the construction history and related characteristics of the college and major, and the highly distinctive Three Kingdoms Zhubing Tang site on campus. In the school history museum, under the patient and meticulous explanation of the counselor, the students visited the parts of career startup, key areas for leapfrog development, reform and progress, and innovative development in sequence. Each photo and object records important historical moments in the development process of the school. The fruitful honor wall showcases the pursuit of a generation of contract workers to "serve the country through industry". Students have expressed their desire to pursue the historical footprint of the school, fully utilize learning resources, solidify the foundation, hone their skills, and further promote the diligent and rigorous style of workers, with a pragmatic attitude, to contribute to the construction of the college and the school.

This themed activity is one of the activities carried out by the college to deepen the love and honor of the school, as well as the enrollment education for new students.
