Department of Inorganic and Powder Materials Engineering

The Department of Inorganic and Powder Materials Engineering was formed in 1999 by the merger of the Powder Metallurgy major and Materials Department of the former Department of Chemical Engineering. The entire department has a teaching team with reasonable academic background and age structure, high teaching and research level, and broad international perspective. There are currently 19 full-time teachers, including 8 with senior professional titles and 9 with deputy senior professional titles (including 2 experimental teachers), with a doctoral ratio of up to 89%. Among them, there is one member of the Material Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, one famous teacher in Anhui Province, one "New Century Excellent Talent" of the Ministry of Education, and two young scholars in Mount Huangshan. Mainly responsible for the teaching and talent development of two undergraduate majors, Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Engineering and Powder Materials Science and Engineering.

The Department of Inorganic and Powder Materials Engineering is based on an innovative teaching model that integrates public foundation, discipline, and scientific research. It aims to cultivate technical backbone and leading talents with a solid professional foundation, strong innovation awareness, and broad vision. The employment rate of students in two majors of our department has always been among the top in the school, with high employment quality. The faculty of the entire department focuses on professional characteristics and closely combines national and local technological needs to carry out high-level scientific research in inorganic functional materials such as structural functional ceramics, optoelectronic materials, new energy materials, as well as characteristic fields such as powder materials and powder metallurgy. We warmly welcome all students, including undergraduate and graduate students in our department.
