1.High Performance Metal Materials and Powder Metallurgy Team

The team has been engaged in basic theoretical and applied basic research in the field of advanced materials for a long time. The research interests are nuclear fusion energy materials, non-ferrous metals and processing technology, metal matrix composites and advanced powder metallurgy materials. By further integrating advantageous research directions and interdisciplinary fields, a research platform has been formed with metal materials as the research objects and new technologies methods and principles of materials preparation as the main direction, and innovative research has been carried out on cutting-edge and important scientific issues in the fields of nuclear fusion energy materials, refractory metal materials and metal matrix composites.

The team consists of 4 professors, 11 associate professors, 2 lecturers, 5 postdocs, 18 doctoral students and 60 postgraduate students. In the past 5 years, it has undertaken more than 30projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s key research and development of magnetic confined fusion energy , the Ministry of Science and Technology’s International Thermonuclear Fusion Experimental Reactor (ITEP) program, the Ministry of Science and Technology’s International science and technology cooperation project, the National Natural Science Foundation’s international cooperation project, the surface project, the Youth Fund project, the military science and technology project, the provincial and ministerial level project, the other projects, undertaking enterprises and institutions. It has commissioned more 40 projects, conducted cooperative research with internationally renowned universities such as Germany, Japen, Denmark and the United States, and achieved fruitful scientifical research results. It has published more 300 high-level academic papers in important journals and international conferences at home and abroad, published monographs and 9 teaching materials, and obtained more than 60 national invention patents. The research team will focus on the main economic battlefield and major national needs, closely focus on the development direction of forward-looking and cutting-edge technologies and the major needs of related industries for common key technologies and processes for high-performance metal materials and processing, and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Lay a solid technical theoretical foundation for the technological process, sustainable and healthy development of the metal material preparation and processing industry in China.

2.SPS New Materials and New Technology Team

The team leaded by Professor Zhang Jiuxing is one of the research institutions under the college of Materials Science and Engineering of Hefei University of Technology, and also the supporting unit of the national and local Joint engineering Research Center of non-ferrous Metals and processing Technology and the High Performance Copper Alloy Materials and forming processing Engineering Reacher Center of the Ministry of Education. The main research areas include rare earth hexaboride polycrystal / single crystal materials, refractory metals an cemented carbide materials, special targets for medical CT machines, high-performances puttering targets, special powder metallurgy materials and discharge plasma sinterin (SPS) connection technology. At the same time, it also undertakes the task of training doctoral students and master students, The research team has 36 people, including 1 national talent, 2 professors, 1 associate professor, 3 intermediate titles 10 doctoral students and 20 master students. The research team has a number of advanced instruments and equipment at home and abroad, including 2 SPS systems, the sintering pressure is 5/60 tons, the sintering current is 5000/2000ampere, the optical zone melting single crystal furnace1, the maximum power is 20KV the maximum temperature is 3000℃, and the maximum temperature is 3000℃. And formed the single crystal growth - crystal orientation- performance test of the most complete domestic high melting point single crystal research system, in addition to the material structure analysis and performance testing of advanced instruments and equipment.

In the past five years, the scientific research team has undertaken a large number of scientific research projects entrusted by the national key research and development program, the XX joint fund of the Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation, the XX Office of Anhui Province and the space department, with research funds of more than 15 million yuan, more than 100 high-level papers published, more than 50 national invention patents, and more than 30authorized invention patents. Lanthanum hexaboride single crystal material has passed the military quality system certification, and a number of results have been successfully applied in national important projects.

Closely combined with the major demand for high-performance single crystal materials for China ' s new generation of spacecraft, the scientific research team has developed and supplied lanthanum hexaboride single crystal materials in batches using the original composition control and preparation technology on the basis of decades of research work, and successfully applied in spacecraft. The research team used the discharge plasma sintering (SPS) welding technology for the first time at home and abroad, breaking through the welding technical problems of WRE/TZM alloy with high strength, high and low temperature fatigue resistance, and excellent airtightness, and passed the process identification and technical review of the XXX Institute of Aerospace XX Institute, providing batch core components for spacecraft. At the same time, electron beam welding cathode devices were developed for use in the aviation sector and in the high-tech field, as an alternative to Ukrainian imports. Developed additive manufacturing electron beam3D printing cathode device, life increased by more than10 times, can replace the United States, Japan imported products. At home and abroad, the original CT machine target disk SPS manufacturing new technology, successfully developed the CT machine target disk, the performance indicators reached the international advanced level, with complete independent intellectual property rights, can replace the Austrian Pansee, Germany Siemens and other imported products.

3.Nano Functional Materials and Device Units

Facing the major demand for nano-functional materials and technologies in China ' s electronic information, cutting-edge equipment , artificial intelligence and other fields, the nano-functional materials and device steam conducts research on the development and preparation technology of new nano-functional materials and devices based on scientific research platforms such as the Key Laboratory of Advanced Functional Materials and Devices in Anhui Province and the National International Science and Technology Cooperation Base of Advanced Energy and Environmental Materials. Focus on the research of new photoelectric materials and technologies, high-efficiency electrochemical energy materials and technologies, environmental materials and technologies, advanced magnetic material sand technologies, smart materials and technologies and other fields.

The team has 72 members, including 2provincial talent plan members, 5 professors, 5 associate professors, 2 lecturers, 9doctoral students and 51 master students. It has undertaken more than 60 national, provincial and ministerial-level and enterprise-commissioned scientific research projects, published more than 200high-level academic papers, and formed a multidisciplinary team of high-level talents focusing on engineering application research.

4.Photoelectric Conversion Energy Storage and Advanced Powder Metallurgy Materials Team

The research team of photoelectric conversion and energy storage devices and advanced powder metallurgy materials is led by Professor Jiang Yang (Level 2), doctoral supervisor of the "New Century Excellent Talent Program" of the Ministry of Education, the high-level "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" leading talent Program of Anhui Province, and the "Double Innovation" talent program of Jiangsu Province. The members are Professor Chen Lei (doctoral supervisor). Zhong Honghai, Liu Junwu, Sun Zhenjie, Yu Yongqiang, Associate Professor Zhang Yan and other 9 people. There are more than 30 post-doctoral, doctoral and postgraduate students. The team has presided over 2 national 863programs, 9 National Natural Science funds, participated in the 973 program, military 863 program etc., presided over more than 30 cooperation projects of the Ministry of Education, Anhui Province, China National Nuclear Industry Group and related enterprises. He is mainly engaged in the synthesis of semiconductor nanomaterials and photoelectric, energy conversion devices, rare earth luminous materials and LED devices, as well as advanced powder materials and powder metallurgy forming technology research. A series of low-dimensional II-VI group semiconductors, perovskite semiconductor nano structures, quantum dot materials and devices for photo electric conversion and detection, energy conversion and storage have been explored and developed. Developed rare earth luminescent LED lighting devices, full spectrum eye protection light source technology products, oxide / nitride structure precision ceramics, glass-ceramics, refractory metals and cemented carbide, powder metallurgy copper and carbon composite materials for rail transit skateboard products.

The research results have been published in prestigious international authoritative academic journals in the field of materials science: Adv. Mater. (3 articles), Adv. Energy Mater. (2 articles), Mater. Today (1 article) Adv. Fun. Mater. (4 articles), Nano Energy (2articles), J. Am. Chem. Soc. Let' s wait. He has published more than 200 high-level papers and authorized more than 30 national invention patents. He has won the National Science and Technology Progress 3rd prize, Anhui Province Science and Technology progress 1st, 2nd, 3rd prize, Guangdong Province Science and Technology Progress 2nd prize, China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress 1stprize and Chinese Academyof Sciences President' s Award. 5. Magnetic Materials and Devices Team

The magnetic materials and devices team has 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 1 lecturer, 15 doctoral and master students. The team members are also members of the National Magnetic Components and Ferrite Materials Standardization Technical Committee, members of the IEC/TC 51 powder core International Standard China expert Group, and members of the Expert Committee of the National Magnetic Materials Industry Measurement and Testing Center. He is the leader of the "115" industrial innovation team construction project " Magnetic material Engineering Technology Innovation team " in Anhui Province, the "six talent peaks" high-level talents in Jiangsu Province, and the "Huaian Talent Plan" enterprise innovation leader. The team is mainly engaged in the research of magnetic materials and devices such as soft magnetic composites, microwave absorption materials, amorphous nanocrystalline soft magnets, rare earth permanent magnets, ferrites and high-frequency magnetic components. In recent years, he has presided over more than 10 vertical projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation project, the National Postdoctoral Fund Project, the Natural Science Foundation Project of Anhui Province, the key project of Industry, University and Research in Anhui Province, as well as horizontal projects entrusted by Huawei, Samsung, State Grid, Maget, Angang Steel, and Ruide, with more than 8million yuan of on-campus funding, and published more than 60 papers. 6. Lithium/Sodium Battery Materials and Application Technology Team

The rapid and green development of modern society needs to promote the transformation of traditional energy to renewable energy and clean energy, and the energy storage technology that is compatible with it needs to be developed urgently, and the development of low-cost, long-life and high-safety advanced energy storage technology has risen to the height of the national development strategy. Lithium-ion batteries have the advantages of high energy efficiency, high energy density and long cycle life, and have been successfully applied in the field of consumer electronics and electric vehicles. Sodium batteries, as an ideal alternative technology for lithium-ion batteries, have great potential in the field of energy storage. The key to the development of lithium / sodium batteries with high energy density is the material, and advanced battery materials and safety technologies are the basis for ensuring battery applications.

The lithium / sodium battery materials and safety technology team has 1 professor, 1 associate professor and 1 lecturer, 6doctoral students and 17master students. The team is mainly engaged in the research of key materials and safety technologies for lithium-ion batteries. The research directions include: (1) High-safety lithium-ion battery materials and technologies: flame retardant electrolyte, functional additives, composite diaphragm, solid electrolyte and solid battery, safety mechanism research. (2) Research on lithium-ion battery electrode materials: silicon-carbon negative electrode materials, lithium titanate negative electrode, graphene composite materials and high specific energy positive electrode materials, including high-voltage lithium cobaltate, high-nickel ternary, Li-rich manganese base and nickel-manganese spinel. (3) New battery research: lithium / sodium metal battery, sodiumion battery, lithium sulfur battery. So far, the team has undertaken 6 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and more than20 projects commissioned by provincial and ministerial level and enterprises. So far, more than 200 high-level papers related to lithium batteries have been published, more than 10 authorized invention patents, and 2 achievements have been transformed.

7. Digital Precision Casting Team

Digital precision casting technology, including metal parts structure optimization design, metal materials and alloys research, casting process design and optimization and automated casting equipment research and development.

The team consists of 3 professors, 4 associate professors and many lecturers, and more than20 graduate students. Team members with old, middle-aged and young, with many years of foundry industry technology research and development and industrialization experience, has presided over several national and provincial level scientific research projects.

Team members presided over or participated in more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and won Anhui Province Science and Technology Progress Award, Anhui Province Natural Science Award and Anhui Province teaching Achievement Award for many times. As the first inventor, he has been authorized more than20 invention patents, nearly10 utility model patents, and nearly 30 actual invention patents. The team has published more than 200academic papers, including more than 100 high-level papers. In recent years, he has presided over and participated in industry-university-research cooperation projects with a total fund of more than 50million yuan. In 2017, it was approved to build the " Anhui Digital Precision Casting Manufacturing Innovation Center " to carry out the research and development of digital precision casting technology, pilot test and scientific research results transformation. The project of " Development and application of ultra-large thin-wall precision casting digital complete production line " chaired by the team passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal organized by China Foundry Association and presided over by famous academicians, and the overall technology of the project reached the international advanced level, and the molding and pulp technology reached the international leading level.

8. Advanced Plastic Forming Team

Advanced Plastic Forming Engineering Center is ahigh-level research team specializing in the development of precision plastic forming process and advanced plastic forming equipment, mainly for the major needs of high-end manufacturing in aerospace, weapons and equipment, nuclear power, new energy vehicles, special engineering machinery and other fields, aiming at the international plastic forming technology frontier. The principle, technology and equipment of integrated control of shape during precision forming of complex components of refractory materials were studied and developed. The center has independent/cooperative research and development of the first multi-directional 10000kN multi-directional die forging hydraulic press (YH39-1000) and the first domestic 2000kN compression and torsion forming machine (RZU200HF), 90000N.Msuper torque high pressure torsion hydraulic equipment, 6300KN CNC ultra-precision isothermal superplastic forming hydraulic press, supporting heating furnace, horizontal CNC spinning machine, sheet strain measuring instrument, high performance computer/workstation, precision CNC milling machine, precision lathe and all kinds of material analysis and testing equipment.

The core research directions of the team include: (1) High-performance precision plastic forming theory of complex components of high-strength lightweight materials, structure-process-equipment whole process design and engineering application; (2) The principle of large plastic deformation shape control of key components of refractory materials under extreme service conditions and the precise manufacturing technology of macro and micro structures; (3) The multi-field coupling multi-scale modeling and simulation of the whole complex forming process and the spatio-temporal distribution optimization control technology of the composite forming energy field.

At present, the center has 1expert enjoying the special allowance of The State Council, 1 expert of the "New Century Outstanding Talents Support Plan", 2 doctoral supervisors, 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 5 lecturers, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 2 senior engineers, 9 doctoral students and 38master students. The young and middle-aged backbone teachers of the center are all from HIT, Western University of Technology and well-known foreign universities directly under the former Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. They have undertaken 14projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and presided over or participated in more than 40 important projects at the national/provincial/ministerial level, such as equipment pre-research shared technology projects, 973 Plan, ITER major projects, and final assembly supported technology projects of the Ministry of Education. The company commissioned more than 30 projects, the research results published in the field of plastic processing TOP1 journal IJP, forming the field of top journals JMPT, MD, IJRM & HM, MSEA, JAC and other important journals at home and abroad, authorized 15 invention patents, the formation of 10 sets of key technologies. Used in 38 CLP, Tianjin Institute of Physics and Chemistry, 800 aerospace institute, weapons industry Baotou 202 factory, Jianghuai automobile and other enterprises and institutions.

9. Materials Interface Organization Control and Connection Technology Team

The team consists of 2professors (1 doctoral supervisor), 4 associate professors and 2 associate researchers. Relying on the Engineering Center of the Ministry of Education and the Laboratory of Anhui Province and other platforms, the team focuses on the research direction of material welding and connection, component forming process and mold, and high-performance metal materials, promoting and exploring the application of advanced materials and components in machinery, nuclear energy, communications, transportation and other fields. Aiming at the connection problem of complex and large (precision) components / dissimilar materials and the demand of lightweight and green manufacturing of metal structural parts, multi-scale experiment and theoretical research on material interface microstructure control and connection technology and component service behavior are carried out. Based on thermal coupling welding and stress relief technology. new welding materials and new bonding technology. the paper tries to solve the problems of material connection such as large physical property difference, metallurgical compatibility, non-synchronous wetting and stress coordination. In the past 5 years, he has presided over more than 30 projects such as the National magnetic Confinement nuclear fusion energy development talent project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation, the provincial and ministerial natural science Foundation, and the enterprise commissioned projects. In the past 5 years, he has published more than 80 high-level papers, authorized more than20 national invention patents, and won 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes of Anhui Science and Technology Awards.
