The Department of Materials Engineering was established in 2018, after the integrated management of Hefei University of Technology. It was formed by the merger of the Materials Forming and Control Engineering major in the original Mechanical Engineering department and the New Energy Materials and Devices major in the original Chemical Engineering department. It is the only department of the School of Materials located on the Xuancheng campus. At present, there are 13 faculty members, 11 full-time teachers, 3 professors, 6 associate professors, and 2 lecturers. Among them, 82% of full-time teachers have senior professional titles, and the doctoral degree rate is 100%.
