On the afternoon of June 27, 2023, Professor He Zhubing of Southern University of Science and Technology was invited to give a special lecture entitled "Research on PerovskitePhotovoltaic Technology Based on FunctionalMolecularCoordination" for teachers and students of School of Materials Science and Engineering in Conference Room 210 of School of Materials. The report was chaired by Zhu Feng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the faculty and students of the school attended the report.
Taking trans-perovskite photovoltaic cells as the research object, Professor He Zhubing described his team's research findings on the in situ imaging of anti iodide ion migration and interface blocking, interface defect passivation and energy level regulation, bulk phase grain boundary passivation, and surface molecular doping of inorganic nanocrystals. The innovative ideas and research results of the new "molecular extrusion" process and perovskite conductive doping of his team are introduced in particular. This work greatly reduces the defect state density of the bulk phase and interface, significantly improves the conversion efficiency and stability of trans-perovskite photovoltaic devices, and promotes the further development of trans-perovskite photovoltaic technology, which is of great significance for industrial investment.
In the question and answer session, Professor He Zhubing answered questions for teachers and students on the scientific research environment of Southern University of Science and Technology, student training, future employment direction and other issues. After the report, Professor He Zhubing had a discussionand exchangeon the future development and application of perovskite photovoltaic cells with teachers in related research fields of the School of Materials.
He Zhubing is a professor at Southern University of Science and Technology. He received his bachelor's degree in Materials from Hefei University of Technology in 2001.He received his master's degree in Materials from University of Science and Technology of China in 2006 under the guidance of Academician Shuhong Yu and his doctor's degree in Applied Physics and Materials Science from City University of Hong Kong in 2009 under the guidance of Professor Wenjun Zhang and Academician Shutang Li.He is currently a professor in the Department of Materials of Southern University of Science and Technology, director of Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Functional Materials for Full Spectrum Power Generation, and has presided over more than ten key projects, including key projects of National Natural Science Foundation, key projects of International cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology and key projects of Shenzhen discipline layout. He has published more than 120 SCI papers, including more than 90 papers as corresponding authors in well-known journals such as Nature(2023), Nature Energy(2022) and Advanced Materials, including 7 papers with high ESI citation and H index 42.Hehas authorized more than 40 invention patents in the photovoltaic photovoltaic thermal field, invited more than 20 reports to international conferences, and won the second prize of Natural Science in Shenzhen.Histeam is committed to the development of photovoltaic photothermal synergistic solar full spectrum power generation technology, especially focusing onthe interface physicochemical study of materials, devices and systems.
