Research Interests


Our laboratory is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms of atherosclerotic plaque progression and vascular calcification, aiming to identify new targets, mechanisms, and methods to prevent acute cardiovascular events. Our research interests span from fundamental molecular pathways to drug discovery, with a primary focus on addressing the residual cardiovascular risk despite current lipid-lowering therapies.
