Founded in 1997, it is one of the earliest universities in China to recruit undergraduate pharmaceutical engineering majors. In 2009, it was listed as a national characteristic major. In 2012, it passed the national engineering education professional certification. In 2013, it was approved to implement the national "Excellent Engineer Plan" construction. In 2018, it passed the national engineering education. Professional certification and re-certification, approved for national first-class professional construction in 2019. From 2011 to 2020, this major has participated in the National College Student Pharmaceutical Engineering Design Competition for nine consecutive years and achieved excellent results. Strong professional teachers, editor-in-chief or editor-in-chief of more than 10 textbooks, including national planning textbooks and high-quality textbooks. At present, this major is the main undertaking unit of teaching and training teachers in pharmaceutical engineering courses across the country.
